Member Training

USCG Aux

Member Training (MT) is the “toolbox” for USCG-AUX members.  Training is a very crucial part of our member activities.  In fact, it is hard to think of any Auxiliary activity which does not have training available to define program mission requirements and assure a competent, superior performance in all we do.  Member Training provides education opportunities to equip members in:

          -         FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) & Incident Command System (ICS)

          -         USCG Team Coordination Training (TCT)

          -         Boat Crew Seamanship (Crew Member, Personal Watercraft & Coxswain)

          -         Auxiliary Operational Specialist (AUXOP) in Seamanship, Patrol, Navigation, Telecommunications, Search & Rescue, and Weather

          -         Vessel Safety Examiner (VE)

          -         Recreational Boating Safety Program (RBS)

          -         Trident (Marine Safety & Environmental Protection)

          -         Aviation support (Air Crew, Observer, Aviator)

          -         Instructor/trainer & course development

          -         First aid & CPR
